My role is to gain skills in mechanical engineering and practical machining in order to fully out turn into the business in a full time role. This can vary day to day from completing job orders to work shadowing, all while learning about the skills I will need.
I have learnt many new skills working here, especially in the engineering aspect of it. I have also developed general skills such as teamwork, leadership, time management etc.
I am enjoying my apprenticeship a lot. It provides a lot of opportunities to learn on the job and you can further your skills and knowledge as much as you are willing to do so.
It is a well organised programme. In my Level 3 it consists of two years in a training environment, and then a year of placement positions to learn on the job before fully out turning into a job role
I receive as much support as I need to have from my experience. There is always options to raise any concerns or issues that they can help fix too.
I receive a good amount of support from my training provider when working towards my qualifications. Any questions or uncertainties can be almost always be answered
The qualifications I earn through completing this apprenticeship help to show that I fully understand the training I am receiving and that I am confident in the work I am undertaking.
