  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I'm an apprentice painter so I prep cars for primer and then apply foundation materials, like primers and etch primer, adhesion promoters. I don't do too much painting yet but I get the chance to shadow my boss and see paint being applied, I do get to paint at college though, we apply paints and practice spraying techniques.

  • Yes I have gained more experience and learnt a lot whilst taking part in this course [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] my teacher is good at spotting errors and fault whilst your carrying out tasks and good feedback on how we can improve our skills, we get the exposure as well to lots of knowledge and techniques by attending college, sometimes from the other students too, we are encouraged to share how we do things at work.
