I am an apprentice painter I prepare vehicles ready for primer and paint. I also do a bit of polishing and sometimes spray
I have learnt many skills such as applying base coat and shaping filler
I enjoy my college course and my job role, I get chance to shadow my mentor repairing and spraying cars, I feel that I'm learning and gain skills and techniques all the time.
We do learn at college, there's always tasks to do that are interesting and 'real world' as [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] likes to show us how it would be in a real life situation and how we can use our skills to do the best jobs, we practice spraying techniques which is great cause it is expensive to do this at work on customers cars.

I enjoying turning up at college, I have a good bunch and lads and we all have fun and help each other learn by sharing our experiences.
I have learnt new skills such as French masking which applies to me at work. Also learning new polishing techniques

The course is very good and allows to learn new techniques and skills that maybe you havent known about through work
make sure to bring boots and overalls
