I am an audit trainee working in Gatwick. on a day to day basis I will spend most of my time going out to clients and auditing their accounts. This will either be at the clients site or in the office.
I have developed my skills of communication and my understanding of new accountancy areas (audit, SRA & assurance).
I really enjoy my current programme I feel like I am learning a lot.
I feel like I'm always being pushed to do new things and expand. I get positive feedback on a job and constructive criticism as I learn. I feel like this is beneficial and that I am appreciated for the work I do with the comments that come back to me.
Everything I need regarding my apprenticeship programme is organised at set up in advance however I feel that communication is lot a bit with some information only coming out just before its crucially needed.
the training provider is always on hand and fairly easy to get in touch with, if something needs to be asked.
If I ever have a query my manager/senior is always happy to help run me through what to do and how to help.
my salary is good, the only struggle I have is the cost of travel as I always seem to be traveling really far into work each day and I don't get to claim any of it back where as a lot of people who live a lot closer get a lot more back on expenses.
There is always some sort of either sporting or social event being run or organised that you can get involved with.
Yes
It's an enjoyable place to work, with people that are always happy to help you progress. You work with different people every other week and you're travelling to new places where you get to see new things and build friendships with a vast array of people.
Be yourself, be friendly and easy going whilst showing that you are a hard worker, eager to learn with strong communicational skills.
