  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Waiter at the Oasthouse. I do daily tasks such as pouring drinks for customers, taking ordering from customers, cleaning down tables, cleaning basic crockery etc. I am always interacting with customers making sure there visit is excellent. i am also always interacting with my colleagues. communicating with my colleagues is very important. this ensures that we all get our jobs done perfectly. The responsibility of taking orders and looking after guests is very important. if a guest is not happy it my responsibility to ensure that I solve the problem.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. I have learned a lot of information on my apprentiship. I can use this information to improve myself even better at work to push myself even higher.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this programme a lot. The team is amazing and easy to understand. the learning programme has exceeded my expectations due to how fast i am learning and how much help they have given me.

  • The training is perfectly organised in steps. Making sure I take in the information throughout this programme and the support I get is superb.

  • I receive a lot of support from my Managers and my mentor. couldn't ask for more. The guidance i get and the general attitude towards my learning is just outstanding.

  • I get a lot of support for my training. if I don't understand something my mentor will guide me through it without telling me the answer so I can understand it in my own way.

  • The training i have been provided has increased my ability at work making me work even harder and having a better understanding of my industry.

  • Not that I know of.

  • This is because the amount of support and understanding they provide you with is outstanding. not all companies provide so much help to employees and I'm very grateful to be apart of this community.
