I work on the audit team for PwC and carry out test of details on certain areas of the financial statements such as pensions and directors remuneration.
Yes i have developed my audit knowledge and experience by working on multiple FSLIs rather than just one in my previous placement.
I enjoyed going into the office very much and meeting the people i work with therefore this made my experience very positive.
It is well structured in partnership with my degree programme and allows us to work during busy season therefore gaining more experience and working hours than at other points in the financial year.
We receive lots of support through our career coaches, peers and even the more senior staff members therefore this help aid my placement development.
We receive some help but often go weeks without hearing from them so this could be improved.
It definitely helps somewhat in relation to the overall audit process however it doesn't really have any relation to CoE specific work and is more aimed at the front line teams jobs.
There are many after work socials on offer, however not many sports events i have seen which i believe would be a great addition to the office experience
Yes
Very friendly and welcoming working environment with hard working hours but rewarding pay and opportunities.
Expect to find certain things challenging at first as it is a company that expects hard work but this pays off and can be very rewarding in the future.
