Day to day I am continuously learning about my role. this includes working on written work for my apprenticeship or on a zoom with a member of my team and them teaching me 1-2-1.
I have learnt loads of new skills including writing SQL statements, using JCL and also how to run SPUFI on the mainframe
I think that my apprenticeship is a really good opportunity and I have enjoyed it so far one thing that might help would be to get a bit more leaning to do.
The structure is really good. we had 3 months when when started our role to get into it and then we started our apprenticeship work this helps you get settled and then start doing the work.
I receive loads of support from my employer they are great I am always receiving help on a daily basis.
I receive excellent support from my training provider when working toward qualification they are very nice and always let us know hat we can contact them when we need them.
I think that the qualification I am doing is very different to my role in the bank. the work is not related at all.
Yeah, at NatWest there is loads of activities and groups to get involved in one extra curricular group I joined is the coding club.
Yes
Because I think it has been a really good job so far and I think listening to loads of people talk about their role it sounds that it will be a role for life and its always positive things I hear about the bank.
Make sure that You are focused if working at home. as when you start it is very easy to lounge about and not do much work but you just need to get your head down and get it done.
