On my current project I am a Business Objects Developer. On a day to day basis I am designing and developing reports in SAP Business Objects InfoView and interactive dashboards in Xcelsius.
I have learnt a tonne of new skills since joining Capgemini. SAP is a highly recognised technology and to have learnt how to use Business Objects is a great achievement as BO Developers are in great demand.
I enjoy the project based part of the programme the most as I get to work on real projects with real clients, delivering real solutions. I have worked and delivered my work directly to the client at client site, which gave me a real sense of responsibility. To receive comments/feedback directly from the client for my work is fantastic.
Capgemini value all its employees and I feel very valued. Everyone here values your voice and my opinions really do count.
At the start of the programme there were times where it felt somewhat less structured but I understand this was in order to really put together a real first class programme which everyone can be proud of. Now the programme is on track and organised. We have regular calls with the Programme manager and are always kept up to date.
My assessor meets with me once every 6 weeks to ensure I am on track and supports me where needed.
Whenever I have needed support in the past everyone on my team have been open to helping out whether its work related or personal. Capgemini also have a free service which is available to every employee which provides confidential support if needed for any issues whether its emotional, physical or work related.
I believe it meets my needs equally.
There is always training available to anyone who is actively seeking for it. I will be taking part in a data modelling course in the near future.
