  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to find the perfect holiday for our customers, this means finding out what they are wanting this holiday to be, for example are they wanting a relaxing break or are they wanting a adventurous, fun filled holiday. I ask them a series of different questions to find out what puts them in their happy place and whilst doing this i am getting to know the customer. I then create an enquiry incase we cant find their perfect holiday, then when they come back in and give their name another colleague will be able to see everything that we have discussed and the customers requirements for their holiday. If we book the holiday I then ask them if they would like an overnight stay tthe night before their flight (if they have an early morning flight) or a overnight stay when they return (if they have a late night flight) I also ask them if they ould like to start their holiday off in style by paying for airport lounge access where they will be able to eat and drink as much as they want for a much lower cost than purchasing individual items at the airport.I then ask them if they would like to upgrade to a extra legroom, extra space seat depending on the customers ability (or premium club if long haul) I offer all of these upgrades whilst pointing out the benefits of them. After booking the holiday i then ask the customers if they have insurance in place and if they don't i then give them a quote for insurance.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my programme is very well structured, I have a list of modules that i need to complete by a certain date and my apprenticeship coach always makes sure that i am given these in advance and have enough time to complete them. • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are extra curricular activities in my job, for example you can go to days where you learn more about certain products but there are no sport activities however these days where we can go out and learn about future or current products that we sell are good for building team connections

  • 9a. Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • TUI provides excellent facilities for its staff, including all the support networks needed if you are struggling at all. the people at TUI are friendly and try to involve everyone by providing educationals that are picked at random therefore giving every employee a fair opportunity to be picked for something, on these educationals you will meet other TUI employees from other stores therefore allowing you to build a friendship with other store members

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • Be honest, even if you havent passed a subject at school they will help you to achieve that goal so that you can pursue a career in travel. so for example i had only achieved a D in my maths, TUI have now put me through my maths exam twice in order to help me to achieve that goal, i am hoping to achieve this next time. also just be yourself because everyone here values everyone's individualities.
