My role is an Apprentice Complaint Handler. Day-to-day this involves a variety of different things, but in a nutshell, my role is to take ownership of a complaint that relates to a packaged bank account, investigate the claim and determine whether or not the customer has a valid claim. This process will involve calling the customer to gather more information in order to assist with the claim.
I've definitely learned new skills in that I had no previous experience in speaking to customers on the phone and so I had to learn the correct process in doing this. It's something I didn't have any confidence in before I started the job. I've also had to become more organised as I can be working several cases at a time.
I'm really enjoying the programme at the moment. I enjoy my new job and enjoy the fact I'm working towards and NVQ at the same time.
I feel very valued by Barclays. It's been reiterated several times that I am valued and given the opportunities I've had, I feel that way.
I feel the programme could be structured better in the fact that for a month or so, no one really knew what was going on. But other than that, it's well run
We receive as much as we need, so cannot fault that.
Again, we receive as much as we need so cannot fault that.
As an apprentice, I feel the salary is great. It covers what I need it to cover.
You have chances to attend chariy events, such as charity football games, and that's always a bonus.
Yes
I feel Barclays is a great place to work. The pay is very competitive and the benefits you get from working with Barclays are amazing. In terms of actually working in Barclays, all staff are extremely helpful and easy to get on with.
Just go for it, it's a great opprtunity.
