As an intern/trainee for PwC, i was responsible for liaising with clients and internal processes in PwC. This aided myself to complete EGAs to build evidence for individual FSLI's i was responsible for. This contributed towards the final audit opinion which the engagement team would sign off. This audit would then be released to the public domain.
During my placement i have learnt may things, this ranges from very basic skills like effectively writing emails to clients and colleges. To actual audit skills, on how to complete EGA's. The completion of EGA's revolved around evaluating evidence provided by the client and comparing this to the testing strategy the engagement team had agreed upon in planning.
I have absolutely loved my first placement here at More London. It has surpassed all of my expectations, both in the aspect of the work i would be doing and living and being in London. The placement has flown by, looking back now i have completed alot in a very short space of time.
The course its self is known very well within PwC therefore the everyday working staff know how the course operates and what is expected of all of us. The official representatives are less well known and are less influential to your placement. You will barely hear from them at all. But this has no real effect on your placement.
Simply a lot. PwC is made from lots of different individuals all working towards the same goal more or less. This means that despite the lack of people on your actual team, everyone in the office and in the company is more than happy to help and assist you in any way they can.
I think its important to note whilst you are working on a client you as a flying start are effectively the bottom of the pyramid. I know that sounds intimidating but that does also mean that everyone above you can and will be able to help you with your work. Because they have all done it before. This therefore means that you have loads of people to ask for help
The training contributes to your qualification as an accountant. This means this course is the fastest possible way to become an accountant. That sounds great but it is also very hard, the placement really helps to tie the content learnt at university to proper accounting in the real world. What more could you want?
During my placement i have had two socials which i have attended . The first was to celebrate completing busy season. This was held at a sports bar and was a great way to meet people. In addition i had an end of placement social with all the flying starts. Appart from that i didnt have much

PwC has a modern and inclusive culture which is seen in all the employees they hire. In addition, PwC is a huge company its always expanding its offices and the areas in which it operates. This is especially exciting for me i love travelling and this company gives me the opportunity to do this.
The course is hard and there is a lot of pressure on you to meet expectations with exams. That is really the only draw everything else you could hope for in a course can be found here. In regards to PwC this pressure of exams is still relevant, but apart form that there are no draws
