It gave me an insight into how time management, personal branding, first impressions, maintaining a high quality of work are all important and what the world of banking holds for a person the likes of me. It also helped me understand how I can and what I need to do in order to secure myself I a place in a prestigious company such as HSBC
I gained skills such as how to manage time, how to perform well in interviews by keeping proper interview etiquette while still answering questions with confidence and how to expand and improve on my personal brand in order to come across to employers as the ideal employee and secure myself an interview
I enjoyed it very much as while keeping a very calm, supportive and very safe environment and atmosphere throughout the leaders of our work experience taught us very well while making us laugh and keeping us on our toes. It was also kept very interactive instead of us just being spoken to
Very organized, we were all given tasks at the correct time and wed all finish at the correct times according to the timetables they provided beforehand. Keeping in mind this was the first virtual work experience that had ever been done by HSBC it could not have gone any better
A lot. It helped me understand how I would fit in to the workplace if I do ever decide to take it up as a career and to be honest it would be very hard for anyone to not fit in to such a safe and respectful workplace with such nice colleagues and superiors
This work experience was a great opportunity for me to learn how the workplace functions and how different roles are assigned and what they are. I also received amazing guidance showing me whether this was the job correct career path suited to me and why or why not I should consider setting goals for it
No as it was all online during the time a normal school day would take place l. We (the whole group of young people taking part in the work experience at HSBC) were all given a 10 minute break after an hour of learning and an hour long lunch break. W
Yes many, the leaders of the work experience arranged a meeting with people that worked their ways up in to very high positions in the HSBC company. They also gave us time at the end of their presentations and demonstrations to speak to them and to network through sharing our LinkedIns
Yes
It was an amazing experience in which I learned a lot about HSBC the bank and how I would go about getting started in a banking career. I was also shown the basics and the expectations that I would have to meet in order to make it far in the companies ranks
DO IT!!! At first I myself was reluctant to take part in the work experience but having gone through it myself and understanding the working environment and atmosphere I realised that banking may be the career path for me as it is a very respectable firm and a very enjoyable job
