  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day-to-day role, throughout the academic year is to study computer science as a normal university student. In the summers and in my 3rd year placement, I am put into a team as an intern. We are given options as to what team we'd like, after learning about them briefly throughout the year.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Very much so!! The team supporting us is very helpful and I've made many amazing friends on the course too, who work and study as I do.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Quite structured. However, maybe because of covid, our first placement was less organised, with us being put into any teams that might not even be tech related.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot. We each have a career coach on placement, a tech buddy to reach out to, as well as our lecturers and the team who organises our placements. Everyone is happy to help you and the older years are a great source of information

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
