I help to review companies financial statements to ensure they are free from fraud and misstatements. I complete various tasks to test their different areas in the statement are recorded appropriately.
I have significantly improved in my excel skills and have broaden my audit knowledge and methodology.
I enjoy my programme to a high extent. The staff and lecturers within uni are very supportive and ICAEW give us all the information we need in order to pass our exams.
My programme is well structured and we constantly receive emails of updates of numerous things, such as exam dates, in order to keep us consistently in the loop.
PWC provide us with numerous lines of support during our placement from career coaches to buddy's to mental health awareness days. There is always coaching throughout jobs which enable our work to be of the highest level.
Newcastle University provide significant support during our exam period through providing excellent lectures and learning materials.
It gives us a more in depth understanding of the audit process itself in order for us to have a background in why we are carrying out certain tests.
PWC provide numerous opportunities to socialise through social events, such as the Spring Ball, to extra-curricular activities such as the running club.
