  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a data analysis to works with data and modelling. Every year of the apprentship is different, in the first year we worked with audit and a software called alteryx. In 2nd year we have been working with data forms that help analyze client data. Next year we will make choices on different roles we want to be in.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many skills working with EY. Main being communication as i have to talk to staff everyday effectively and help them and allow them to help me do my work. I have also learnt team working skills as i have had to teach others how to do specific things such as working with alteryx

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed the programme alot the last 2 years. It has been challenging but fun as we have been learning new things every year. Also the fact that our role changes every year makes it a lot more fun as there is more to look forward too. Working in teams is also a fun experience

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has been structure very well this year. We have moved to a new provider that has been easier to work with. We have a clear structure of work and uni meaning we are never confused on when things are due at uni and when we have study leave

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We always have EY to help us with anyhting. We have a councillor that we can talk to anyhting about. This makes it that much easier to sort any uni problems are even work related problems out quickly so that we can carry on with our everyday work. EY also gives us enough study leave to do our work well!

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • BPP is always willing to help us on any questions we may have. We have been set a skills coach that call us every month and allow us to ask any questions about our assignment or anyhting life or uni related. This makes it easier to sort out any problems we may have.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The topics we learn at UNI are relevant to our role. This makes it easier for us to do assignments as we are always able to relate them back to our job. It also makes our daily work easier as we have a better understanding of what we are doing.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are social events that happen every few months where you can meet more people at the workplace and network more. We also have social activities that happen every few months that allows us to netork more and also get away from work and have some time out to have fun!

  • 9a. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • EY has been an amazing opportunity, i feel like it has allowed me to be more confident on my future and allows me to have more opportunites to go into in the future which helps with my confidence. EY has also been an amazing company too work at as the people are so helpful!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Make sure you be yourself at interviews as this will allow EY to see the type of candidate you are which will allow you to enjoy the job more. Also do proactice tests before the actual ones as these help alot. Be yourself and be confident as this is what they are looking for!
