  • A typical day consists of something different than the previous. Every day is a new challenge which makes the company unique to work with.

  • Certainly. I first heard of AWE when my previous employer mentioned they had a outstanding training academy and was recommended by several individuals to apply.

  • Unimaginable, it has changed my life entirely.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Great. The first 18 months of an engineering apprenticeship is based in a Skills Academy which is an entertaining educational environment.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • AWE has been great for me personally. I feel as if I can talk to my line manager about anything and I do.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Instructors are competent, skilled, and the facilities at the college are great.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Some of the units, in my qualification, are slightly different than my job role hence the lower score. I believe that they could be more relevant.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Large quantity of social activities between colleagues, such as pub quizzes, football 5-a-side, etc.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I actually enjoy coming to work. No other company I've worked with beforehand has given me that.

  • Be yourself and use all of the advantages that the company offers.
