  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • In a call center, answering phone calls to customers helping them detect fraudulent activity on their account and help them overcome this problem. To provide support and guidance on how to protect themselves and what they can do better in the future to avoid this from happening again to them.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Defiantly, everyday I am dealing with different and new customer, different situations and sceneries. This all helps to improve on every call I do as I can provide better support from previous calls and how I dealt with it then. This job has made me grow in confidence and made me have a better understanding of the world of banking.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I do enjoy this programme because their is always something to be doing and always work that an be completed. I have made a great group of friends during my programme and their is a great network of support surrounding me to improve my mental health if I needed it.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is well organized. I know all my schedules and my timetables. I get emails if anything has been changed or updated. Also, I am in good contact with members of the programme if I have a query, and I receive a reply in an appropriate amount of time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have and will receive a good amount of support from my programme and my employer. Due to mental health issues my manager got my hours changed to suit me to improve my mental health, and I've been given details of teams that would be ale to support me further with my health if I needed it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Every week we are provided with 20% off out working schedule keyed of the phones to provide us with support and time to get our work done and anything programme work we need to do. This allows me time to go over my modules and prepare for my exams coming up.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helps to be perform better in my role as it gives me a better understanding of banking as a whole, including, different types of banks, different customers ect. With this knowledge it can help me perform better know and in my later life with different banking jobs.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No, however I think that would be a good idea for team building, also just for something different to help us to get away from our work lives.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • NatWest is my first full time job from leaving school, and I couldn't have been happier. I've had great support and great employer benefits that help me day to day.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • Just be yourself and be confident. Don't let anyone get it the way of what you want to do in your life. if your not happy then change what your doing to become happy, and always tell people if somethin can be changed to improve.
