Mechanical Fitter Apprentice. Year 1 is spent in the training centre where you complete a level 2 engineering qualification. Doing practical and theory work. Years 2-4 are spent in the yard working with more experienced apprentices and in larger teams on cutting edge technology.
Further developed my engineering skills and team working skills and learn a lot of new trade related skills.
It’s an amazing programme with great opportunities. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly.
Very well organised and structured. You know exactly what you have to do every day and when it must be completed by.
As much support as you need. Any support you ask for will always be considered and reviewed for you.

The qualification is perfect for your role once you finish the apprenticeship and can be used to as a stepping stone to gain further qualifications after the apprenticeship.
Lots of social activities outside of work arranged by other apprentices through the company. Apprentices can also do a week of outward bound activities like rock climbing, camping, canoeing and mountain climbing with the company.
