My current placement is on site and facilities. I have some of my own projects and am supporting on others. In site and facilities we organise and manage projects undertaken across the site in Barrow.
I have learned new skills such as core project management skills such as stakeholder management and project organisational skills and technologies. I have also developed skills such as leadership and public speaking.
I really enjoy the programme. It is a good mix of learning and working on site and studying towards a degree.
My programme is very well structured with many opportunities to develop.
My employer, including team members and early careers are very supportive.
BAE are very supportive and even give you time to work on assignments if you are struggling for time due to workload.
The qualification and what is learned is very relevant to your day to day duties. It can be applied to your work and helps improve your skills and knowledge.
Yes there are lots of opportunities outside of working and studying. You are encouraged to undertake stretch and STEM activities and there is also a week of outward bound to complete in the Lake District.
Yes
It is a great programme with lots of support and a good salary. Once you complete your time you will come out of it with a good qualification and even better salary.
There are lots of opportunities. Don’t be disheartened by rejection as it is very competitive and more roles will become available.
