In my role I help assist with the day to day running of meetings, planning projects and general communication. As well as this I help update the main webpage which has the main goal of becoming easily accessible. Also, I do the weekly delivery pack with all the weeks strengths, weaknesses and tasks.
I have learnt several things. Firstly, my communication through both online and in person conversations have improved a lot as I am now a lot more confident. As well as this I have improved on my presentation skills as I am now a lot better when showing off work, asking questions and I feel a lot prouder of my work when showing it off.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme. The main reason for this is because of the people I work with. They are all so kind and very helpful and when I have questions. As well as this, I enjoy experiencing lots of different type of tasks from the website creation to LFE sessions- it allows me to learn lots.
I believe my programme is very well structured. This is because I go to a different area within the business every year for 5 years. This allows me to see and expletive different tasks at hand. As well as this, with having my university days each weak, this allows me to use my training and knowledge on the job.
I have lots of support from my employer. This is from both early careers and my manager and work colleagues. If I have any problems then I can always get help from someone. As well as this, I feel like if I do have problem at uni or work, I will be listened too.
I have had lots of support received from my provider. When getting and working towards my qualifications. This is though generally conversations with my manager as well as 1:1 meeting and 12 weekly reviews with my line managers. Overall it had been very helpful and made me feel as ease with my work
My training has helped me greatly throughout my course so far because it has allowed me to lead both mentally through my academic as well as physically through working in general. It has helped me perform better as I have been able to use what I have learnt and put it into my work.
Currently, I am updating the workspace website which is seen as a stretch activity. This has helped me because I have grown in my artistic skills as well as my confidence in doing work by myself. As well as this, I am doing an engagement event in May with my work stream.
Yes
It is an amazing company to work for as everyone is supportive and you can always go for help and advice. As well as this the sense of community is strong, you feel valued within your role and that everything you do, even little, helps out a lot. It’s a great company to work for.
Make sure you tell them who you really are. As well as academics say what you like to do and who you are as a person. And just keep on persevering because it is a long process to get into the company but once you’re in it feels very rewarding.
