Some of the communication between departments in the business could be improved, however it doesn't require a huge push to get the message sent or problem sorted. Things almost always get done if asked for.
I receive a massive amount of support throughout the business, whether from a mentor/manager, or even higher up in the business .
The lecturers at CEMAST are knowledgeable and available if emailed. They relate their teachings to real applications and are usually clear when teaching a new concept.
I can relate some subjects learnt in collage to my day-to-day job role.
Many different extra-curricular activities have been offered to me, from sailing, to a mud run, and occasionally a trip to the pub.

The apprenticeship is well structured, teaches you a lot, and sets you up for a career in the future.
You don't need to be enthusiastic about the specific business sector you are entering (Maritime Services) as that will come over time. You just need to have a love of engineering and a willingness to learn.
