  • The job on a day to day basis is like no other, no 2 days are the same at all. You learn so many new skills, they help you to manage new and different tasks that come your way, I can always count on my skills to complete the jobs I undertake

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since I have started my program, I have learnt how to be more confident within myself and how I can portray myself to others in confident manner, this has been especially helped in the behaviours curriculum, we were the first year to test this. I’ve learnt how to complete a PowerPoint that is actually informative

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my time on this course, I meet countless new people and friends and the opportunities provided and the training given is next to none, managers are approachable and friendly. I look forward to new experiences within this programme which are always provided to me and my colleagues

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The business have managed to structure the course very well, they make sure that in college we can aquire the basic skills to understand what is expected of us in the business before going In to the Sask to receive proper training resdy for placement into the actual work jobs placements

  • The support? I receive lots of support in my progress through my course, I have many people I can turn to for help and to answer any questions I may have about the course or how I can further my development in the business to become the best I can be

  • The support I receive from both college and the business is really good, they make sure I have all the proper support in place to become the best I can be, they provide me with the plan and help me to implement it to ensure that I meet the requirements to pass

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • This is really good. I have got all the help I could of had so far without them I wouldn’t have the skills. I have learnt more in depth skills to implement them into my jobs and complete them to the highest of standards, this is what my employer requires

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The company provides many different activities and networking events on for the public but also the staff. The company hosts events to advertise what job roles entail and what you could be doing if you managed to gain employment with BAE, they are usually held for young people to encourage them to apply

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend the company to a friend because without a doubt it is definitely the best opportunity for anyone in the local area, the opportunities are endless once you are in the business, it will also help you further your development so you never become bored and there is always opportunities to swap job roles


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • The best way to gain employment with the company is to be honest with your application. Try to stand out with your words and experiences , when you are interviewing make sure that you stand out and help others but listen to their views as it’s being part of a team that counts to the company
