Designing test articles and aircraft parts.
Improved lots of life skills such as communication, public speaking, confidence, taking initiative. Technical skills like using CAD software.
I really enjoy most aspects of my programme however it is managed poorly. The actual work and college experience is excellent however the diploma work is very poorly managed by the skills coaches.
The placement work and college work is well structured but the diploma is not. Work is left unchecked for months and very little communication is provided.
In my placement I receive lots of support to progress in my role and gain quality experience. I do not receive any support from early careers who are responsible for me. They do not communicate at all and are totally unhelpful when there is an issue.
There is sufficient support provided by some tutors at the training provider. Some tutors are not helpful when asking for advice on work.
The qualification gives an underlying technical understanding of the work I do in my role. I do feel like I learn more applicable skills in my job however.
There are lots of regular extra-curricular activities to get involved with at work.
Yes
They are an excellent company to work at and for the most part the culture is very friendly and inviting. The work is very exciting and rewarding.
