I manage the Boeing spares support contract for the entire TUI Airline fleet of aircraft, which is currently around 180 aircraft. I ensure orders are place in a timely manor, and ensure that Boeing are performing as per the contract and hold them to account when they are not performing as they should be.
I have developed on my communication skills and changed the way in which I communicate and come across with colleagues and also external suppliers. By doing this, it has enhanced my working relationships internally and externally. Results are more positive overall within the contract following changes made to my communication styles.
I am enjoying the programme a lot, and enjoying the new skills being learnt as well as expanding on skills I already have. I am enjoying learning about myself and how the way I am impacts others and how I can change this for the positive to improve work output for myself and colleagues.
There has been a lot of inconsistency with support mentors over the course of the apprenticeship and this has had an impact on how well I have managed to get work completed. The mentor I currently have has been a huge help and been very supportive since taking on the role.
Support from my employer hasn't been great, this is mainly due to a large number of changes within the department and company and there has not been the consistent reporting and support lines that used to be there. I am hoping that this is in the process of changing and will improve going forward.
I haven't had a huge amount of support form the course provider during my apprenticeship so far, but most of this is processed through my company instead. When i have had an issue, I have gone through the mentor assigned through the company and any issues have been resolved in a timely.

There are opportunities for extra curricular activities through work, but these are not always things that are of interest to myself. If an activity came up that is of interest to me, then I would looks at taking part in this to give me some down time and take my mind off work and the course.
Yes
TUI is a great company to work for, and are lots of opportunities to develop individuals and progress personal careers. There is a great work life balance within the company and following Covid, the opportunities for flexible working have improved immensely and has become easier to have an improved work life balance.
Keep an open mind on what areas you would like to work in, there are so many different areas of the business that have opportunities that you will not have thought about previously. There are great opportunities to work across Europe and the world as well, so there are always options to progress and develop.
