Reporting to higher levels of staff and chasing people on behalf of actions they have been given. It also involves pulling together packs to provide in meetings.
I have learnt new IT skills and become more competent writing emails. I have gained alot more confidence when speaking to a large group of people either in person and on a call.
I am really enjoying the programme. I am enjoying working within my team and having a sense of responsibility.
Its really well organised, I have a different placement every year so I get to learn and try out a few different environments and jobs within the business.
I receive alot of support from the business as we have 12 weekly reviews to talk to someone from early careers. This enables me to set targets for the next review and ask/tell any problems or questions I may have.
I receive a decent amount of support from my training provider. They provide extra sessions before an exam to go over anything which I may find difficult.
It allows me to understand what project management is in general and helps me understand terms used within the business. I understand my placement a lot more due to the training given. It helps a lot whilst working in the business as I feel I gain experience and knowledge.
Yes, we have an outward bound experience where we go away for a week to do team building activities with people on the same programme as me.
Yes
Because they are really supportive towards apprentices and everyone is willing to help with job related queries and University also. I love how senior members of staff take the time to get to know apprentices and we don't get treated any differently to anyone else in the business.
To research the job thoroughly on the BAE internet site and also what main features the job role you are applying for includes. I would advise to be confident in yourself and speak up with any questions.
