I have developed my communication skills through talking to customer and colleagues to ensure that the job is always completed to a high standard. I have also developed my team working skills as to complete my job I have to work within a team, who all have expert knowledge on the matter.
I really enjoy my program. The skills that I gain from the program, I can take forward and use throughout my career. I have the chance to participate in amazing opportunities that help me develop myself to ensure that I can be the best version of myself possible. These activities that help me do this are really enjoyable and tailored to all.
My program is very well structured. We have an outline of at what time in our apprenticeship we will complete specific activities. For example, every 4 months, I move round a different part of the business to get a feel for the business and what type of job I will most enjoy in the future.
Yeah employer is very supportive with any needs weather it be work related or personal. They have many different channels that can help with any queries. The support to help work is also very good as there is a wide early careers team who can help with any work that is required to be completed.
There is a dedicated in-house team that provide the training towards qualifications such as BTEC’s. This team are trained to provide adequate training so that all can reach their potential with qualifications. There is also a large early careers team who can help with the level three apprenticeship qualification.
I feel that the training that I’m provided with helps me to complete my placements. The placements allow me to put into practice the skills and knowledge that I am taught through my qualifications. This knowledge then allows me to have a better understanding of the task that I am required to complete.
There are many extracurricular activities that are available. For example being a stem ambassador and talking to local primary schools to raise awareness of apprenticeships. There are also many other opportunities such as networking events within BAE to allow all apprentices to meet each other and get to know their peers.
Yes
The support that you get from BAE Systems is very beneficial. The qualifications that you also receive ensure that The apprentice is suitably qualified for when they may wish to have a job. At the end of the apprenticeship a job is also advertised in a placement that you have found very interesting.
BAE Systems wants to employ real people. So in your application be you and try your best no matter what. This opportunity is amazing and you will enjoy every second of it. Make sure that you say yes to every opportunity that is given to you and make the most of it.
