My role was as an auditor. As I was in 3rd year I joined as an AS2 so I mainly worked through testing FSLIs and coaching occasionally.
This role has definitely developed my communication skills. It's also taught me a lot of independence and has massively boosted my confidence
I really enjoy the program, both the uni side and working at PwC.
During covid it was a bit less organised however normally it is really good. As soon as we join PwC theres always people to help if you're unsure on what to do
A lot, especially on placement, we get mostly all the same perks as being an employee. When were at uni we get the financial support, we get a reduced yearly fee and also free books.
We do get a lot of support from our uni, occasionally we have a bad lecturer, but I feel as though everyone gets this. On all the modules involving the ACA however our lecturers have been amazing
Massively, having done now 12 of my 15 ACA exams, I felt a lot more confident and knowledgeable throughout this placement. Being able to apply your knowledge in the real world is also a huge help
We have loads of socials and also a lot of social clubs to get involved in. Unfortunately, only joining for 3 months a year (during busy season) it is a bit harder to get involved but once we join permanently there's a lot available
Yes
PwC supports you like no other. I have felt massively supported by the company from day 1 and I feel proud to work for them.
Take pride, and enjoy the ride
