Role involves being an audit associate for Pwc amongst a huge variety of clients. This means performing various audit tests to ensure the client's financial statements we audit are free from material error or fraud
Learnt an enormity of skills on this jobs. These range from technical audit and accounting knowledge, whilst also improving upon my presentation skills, professional and communication skills
I thoroughly enjoy the programme. It provides an opportunity to work for 3 years whilst at university where the money always helps as a uni student! However, most importantly, you're accounting knowledge improves quickly from each placement which greatly benefits completing the chartered ICAEW exams I would say make you're prepared to work hard as placements are no easy tasks and you're expected to perform a lot of overtime!
Very well structured. The course if 4 years long and in years 2,3 and 4 you perform 2 3 months placements and 1 6 month placements. These are all paid and knowledge you learn on placements helps with exams
You receive a lot of support while on placement. However, this is needed as you're expected to work a lot of overtime
You do the exams with your university so your lecturers are responsible towards your qualifications. Lecturers are normally good however can vary
Definitely does help!
A lot of social and sports team available if you're proactive and join. Also social budget is very good so once audit is complete expect to go for drinks and do an activity with your team e.g. darts, bowling!!
Yes
As stated above
make sure you're prepared to put in the work and do a lot of overtime. This is expected, especially during what we call busy season ( between Jan-March)
