My role was to help audit several of PwC's clients and to ensure that what the clients are providing us with are true and correct. This involved working together as part of a team and collaborating with each other to test and apply professional judgement, challenging the client - thus reducing risk of fraud
I have greatly developed my people skills. Being part of a team and sitting with for hours upon end, I started to gain a deeper understanding of each persons skill set. I feel this has developed my ability to have healthy working relationships with those around me and this will be greatly beneficial to me moving forward.
I enjoy this programme a lot as this has taught me many skills and values - both work and non-work related. I have found myself to become more confident in how I carry out my tasks and just general confidence when its comes to tackling something new that I would otherwise be nervous about.
I would say the programme is fairly well structured as it does allow for a work/life balance. It is definitely challenging having to balance studying at the same time but at the same time I have taken a lot of learning experiences which I can definitely look to apply moving forward.
The support I received from everyone was fantastic and was greatly appreciated. I would always be able to go to them with any questions or issues I had and they would be extremely helpful in directing me onto the right path. I felt a very strong togetherness and work ethic throughout my placement.
Again the support received here was phenomenal and was vital in helping me understand what the overall process is as well as receiving guidance as to the best way on getting through the process. The training did help me a lot in finding my feet early on - enabling me to crack on.
The learning experiences I have taken from this can directly be transferred to day-to-day life and I feel as though my overall knowledge of my job role has increased massively - enabling me to complete my work to a much higher standard and thus my understanding of the topics I am studying has gone up.
Yes I have participated in weekly football games with my work colleagues - this has given me the platform to build greater social bonds with my colleagues. Added to this we have had social meet-ups such as team dinner and a christmas party. This has made feel very inclusive to the PwC team.
Yes
Because PwC offers a very friendly and collaborative environment where you feel that you are truly part of something that can make a difference to others. In my opinion it has a very fun element whereby you get this feeling of excitement heading into the office and seeing familiar faces.
Have a good understanding of what PwC does and what exactly your job role entails. Be confident and transparent in your application process and always have a smile on your face. Have a keen attitude on wanting to learn off others and put passion into your interviews and the opportunities you are given
