My role as an apprentice for network rail is to learn whilst I work, to not only observer what is happening around me but to put what I see into effect and get hands on involvement at every opportunity
I have learnt countless of new skills, not only technical skills and qualifications but also life experience and people skills, after the 3 year apprenticeship I will learn countless NVQs and other skills to help further my career
Hugely! It's an fantastic scheme and I am so pleased and grateful that I was presented with the opportunity to undertake this great scheme with network rail
Completely valued, the support of the team and employees is always available, you are never left in the dark about anything and supported completely
Very, from day 1 you know exactly what you will be doing for the entire course, it's not only exciting to see what is to come but also rewarding and motivational to see what you will achieve and gain during your time.
We always have the support and guidance of our training providers, the support of the team and employees is always available, you are never left in the dark about anything and supported completely whenever needed
We always have the support and guidance of our employer, the support of the team and employees is always available, you are never left in the dark about anything and supported completely whenever needed even if it's a personal matter
For an apprentice pay rate our pay is very good, although because I live on my own my wages are stretched a bit but I have plenty spare money at the end of each month
Yes, lots of outsiders activities and events that can be undertaken for either personal ledger or charity events such as skydiving etc
Yes
Because it's the best thing I have ever done and I want my friends to also have a great work life experience
I have and will say to take you time, double check everything you have written before submitting any application forms, think before you answer any questions and be yourself but most importantly never give up! I didn't qualify for my first attempt at securing a place on this scheme but I didn't give up and on my second attempt I secured a placement.
