My apprenticeship rotates around 4, 6 month placements. I am currently in my first placement which is mainly gathering data and creating PowerPoints to reflect shortages.
I have developed my communication skills and the importance of working within a team
I have really enjoyed my first placement, the team have welcomed me and supported me throughout. They have to taught me a lot about the role and have taken time out to teach me different skills
I think there is a good structure to my programme but I feel as though it could be better. Wether it’s because my apprenticeship is new and we’re the second year or because we started during covid, but I think there should be more structure
I receive a lot of support from my employer. They put in reviews every now and then to see if we’re doing okay or if we have any questions
I think we receive a lot of support and good content that helps us understand the different aspects that go into a supply chain
I feel as though the qualification provides a lot of overview and in depth learning in to the different aspects of the supply chain for example the world of procurement and what it takes to fine a good supplier
I am part of the union, Young Apprentice Ambassador Network (YAAN), Charted institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), Local Apprentice Council (LAC) and the apprentice newsletter.
Yes
I am really enjoying the learning, the fact you can’t explore different areas with placements and that BAE offer really good employee benefits
Be confident and try your best
