learning in a fast pace environment whilst gaining a degree. On the project manager scheme you work 4 days a week and spend 1 day a week working towards your university degree. Day to day jobs include stakeholder management, budgeting, communicating, tracking spend, change control, risk management, working in a team.
I have learned a lot and developed a lot as a person since working in BAE SYSTEMS. Some characteristics include ; Communication, leadership, innovative thinking, critical thinking, budgeting, scheduling, risk analysis, change management. You will always be given the opportunity to develop and BAE view character building and development of paramount importance
I love the program, it is very well structured, well managed and there is a lot to learning that takes place in a fast environment such as BAE SYSTEMS. The day to day job provide a lot of variation so you do not get bored and there is always enrichment activities that you can take part in
Very well organized
There is always people you can turn to to ask questions, very supportive environment. There are specific skill coaches, mentors, managers etc that you can turn to if you have an issue or would just like to discuss work. BAE create a safe environment where each individual employee is supported
You will always receive a load of support from your training provide, there is a very good relationship. BAE SYSTEMS work very closely with training providers to build a syllabus that reflects the tasks you will be completing in work. You will always be supported and there is always help you can access
The things you learn at university will always relate back to your day to day role. They help further your understanding and build your confidence. Everything that you learn at university is relevant to your day to day role. You will be taught how to apply yourself vis the content you learn at university
There are always opportunities to take part in enrichment activities. There are various STRETCH assignments such as getting involved with STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Math's), going into schools and helping out with recruitment. There are also opportunities for character building in outward bound and often football matches for charity

Because BAE SYSTEMS operates in a unique way unlike any other company, you will be supported everyday whilst learning in a fast paced environment. You will be able to work towards your degree whilst working a day to day job. You will not be treated as an apprentice and will be given the trust just like any other employee.
