My role is to look after two company directors, and other directors if needed on ad hoc basis. I manage their diaries, meetings, travels and any other requests they may have; I help the team with onboarding and offboarding tasks. I also help with the preparation of events and big meetings.
I am a bit behind with the course due to work but I think I have learnt some new skills like project management and how to use charts. I am also developing my existing skills as the programme is very much linked to my day to day job. For example I feel more confident in managing stakeholders.
I do enjoy the programme, I have just recently started but so far it's very interesting. My coach is very friendly and I do enjoy our check calls. As I'm just at the beginning I cannot really give my opinion on the overall programme but it's definitely a great opportunity!
The programme itself is very well structured. it's all online and divided in modules. You can jump on the next module if you wish and if there is something outstanding it's highlighted. So, the actual programme is very well organised but there have been some miscommunication problems before the start.
My employer, specifically my manager, is the one who suggested me to take this course, therefore she's very supportive of me completing the programme. She's allowed me to take time off to study and review for this course and is willing to give me all the support I need going forward.
I find my coach very easy to talk to and to ask questions. My coach has made herself available for anything I might need via mail and end phone and I really appreciate it. The issue I encountered was at the beginning before I was enrolled and assigned a coach and at that stage I would say not much support was given.
I think that this qualification would be perfect for my role as I do what it's in the course daily. This course will prove I can perform my role at high standards, but most of all it will consolidate my knowledge and skills, and I'm sure I will learn plenty of useful things.
Yes, now that we are starting to get back to the office we are trying to organise and have more frequent social events. I had to help organising a social activity just last week. Even when we were regularly working from home I had to organise virtual social activities for the team.
Yes
I love working here, I love the company's values, mission, diversity and the environment we have in the office. It always depends on who you work with but so far I have encountered only great people. During the pandemic the company has played a crucial role in everyone's mental health, so if a friend wanted to join I could only recommend it.
What I find different from other companies is that you can be yourself at Bupa. If you want to apply to work here you don't need to pretend to be someone or something else. They are trying to hire people that can bring something different to the table and this is a great opportunity.
