Currently in Marketing my role consists of Social listening, Creating content and briefing content for Social Media, Influencer work, Running various Social platforms for different brands, taking part in various projects and daily communication with a variety of people within the business. Every day is different!
Since starting at Nestle I have developed many skills, some of which include: Communication, Time Management, Project Management, Reflective skills and have also gained far more insight into how a business functions, especially through rotating across different departments within the business.
I really enjoy working at Nestle, I feel I am surrounded by kind, ambitious individuals who always do what they can to make sure I am getting the most out of my apprenticeship. It is challenging at times but extremely rewarding and I feel very lucky to have been given this opportunity!
Every six weeks we spend a week at Uni, which enables us to dedicate that week to focus purely on Uni work. Every six months we rotate into a different department within the business. I think this structure works really well.
I feel I have significant support from my employer. If I need advice or guidance, I know who I can turn to and the Induction programme you partake in when entering the business is very beneficial in making your start as smooth as possible.
I feel I have good support from my training provider. If I have any questions regarding Uni work I can always email the relevant lecturer and usually get a quick response.
I think studying whilst working really helps you to apply what you learn at Uni into the real world. It helps me to understand more about why and what I am doing day-to-day at work.
There are often social events that are organised, however due to Covid, understandably this has been limited.
Yes
They are a well organised, supportive, ambitious and friendly company to work for. I feel very supported within my role, yet well challenged, which I think helps people to reach their full potential.
Be yourself, think of the reasons that set you apart from others, have confidence in yourself and your abilities!
