In my roll i work with customers and colleagues in Nestle to organise optimal delivery times for orders in terms of economy and environment. I also resolve a variety of issues customer my have with an order in order to provide effective customer service for our clients.
I have learned how to manage my own time, problem solve, communicate with both customers and colleagues in ways I feel I couldn't have learned in school. I am responsible for my own time and how I use it, I feel a great level of agency in my role
I have been really enjoying the program so far, it has allowed me to achieve things both in and out of work which I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise.
We are given lots of foresight in how we are expected to develop on the course, we have designated dates and times for university days, study days, when uni work needs to be done by and how far along the process we are.
We have lots of people working within the university who are able to support us through any queries we may have with the uni work and our team are more then happy to support us with any questions we have around the day job.
The training provider has been able to support us throughout the process with all our work, the tasks we are set are interesting to the point where I'm engaged in it in ways I haven't been with work in lower school
It not only helps consolidate what we learn from our day job but it also has put my previous jobs into perspective. It has allowed me to understand and appreciate my own roll which has helped me improve the quality of my work in my day job
I've had the chance to speak to schools about apprenticeships and speak to the public about apprenticeships at nestle at apprentice open days. My colleagues have also had the chance to meet with partners and go on volunteering days.
Yes
The job offers a lot of opportunities in a massive multinational company. It's a safe job in a dynamic working environment with an employer that offers a genuinely good job package. And the apprenticeship allows me to improve me working skills in a professional environment
be confident, Nestle is looking for personality traits and competencies that aren't necessarily displayed by just good grades on a CV so having job experience will also make you look like a great candidate.
