My job is to run the day to day running of a bar and restaurant. This includes looking after a team and guests that come though the door. I also have to advises he business to the wide area to increase the amount of guests we get though th edoors
I have learnt about new leadership skills which can help me getting better more from the team and also get more out of the individuals by using different methods. i have learnt that i know then i thought i did which has give me the confidence to do my job and getting results moving forward
i enjoy this programme a lot. i find some of the stuff that we cover is stuff i have not heard before and i find interesting to find out new stuff and what everyone else on the programme thinks as well. time with the learning coach is also great because it fills in any gaps that i may have as well
the programme is well organized. dates are given well in advance for skill days and webinars which makes it easier to place around and all PowerPoints as easy to follow and structured well. learning coach is always flexible and work days around me and when i can do them as well as being understand when i need to cancel
As the manager of the site i do tend to make sure that i can any time i need to focus on the programme i am on as and i know were to find and who to go to if helped is needed. For work i get a lot of support from people
From my learning coach i feel a get a lot of support. We have monthly meeting to discuss any problem i may have and fill any gaps in my knowledge from what i have currently done. He always replies to any message or email i send and points me in the right direction to what i need
For me personally i feel that the webinars and the one on one time with my learning coach help me a lot and i not only is visual but you have some talking though and can ask questions from it. The stuff on mylife i don't find helpful me as i feel i don't learn much from things like this
Where i work there is not a few of lads i work with that enjoy our sport shave a chat which we chat about it to but don't do anything due to the what our job is we all work different shifts and cant do that type of thing together
Yes
I think Whitbread is a great company to work. there is so many changes to more up the ladder and you can get as far as you like or just have a job where just come do your job and go home. I feel they look after their staff really well and i think they have shown that over the last couple of years.
Be your self this job is not all the experience you have but the drive you have to do the job. If you have the drive you can be what ever you want to be and i think most people in the compony will see that and give you a opportunity
