I am currently studying towards a CAT A licence as part of the Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship at British Airways. I am learning in the classroom completing modules, learning in the hangar and also in the workshop improving my technical skills.
I am developing my technical skills and hand skills whilst also gaining key information about the industry and they job i am working towards. I have learnt how to work with different tools in the workshop to aid my theoretical learning.
My program is very classroom based however, I am looking forward to my work placement in order to see exactly how the business operates.
The program is well structured to some extent. There is a little confusion about when exams are being taken due to new schedules however the learning is good.
We receive lots of support from our employer and although we are off site we still regularly get in contact with them
