I work with a team of around 20 other team members and I help to manage the Spa alongside my manager. This is to have a strong and steady business to carry out treatments and offer Spa services. I need to ensure all training is carried out with my team, I carry out admin duties such as return to works and appraisals etc
I have learnt different aspects such as learning techniques and styles and how to adapt these to different team members. I have applied different appraisal techniques and management styles in my day to day job. I have built up lots of confidence in most areas of the job which I didn't have before.
I enjoyed the programme I took part in, it gave me an insight into different areas which I didn't know about before. The programme met my expectations and it was what I expected. I got to apply what I have learnt every day so it is very relevant to me.
It was well structured, I did have a few different mentors but they were all very supportive and helped me whenever I had any questions. The zoom calls were always carried out on time and were for a reasonable duration which made it felt like they were giving me their full time.
My employer has been very supportive - she had helped me with any questions I have regarding the learning. She has always supported the times out I need to carry out the calls and also to carry out the work. Her attitude, support and guidance has been very helpful to me
I have received a lot of support from my latest mentor who has been very thorough ensuring I have carried out the work to a high standard. Whenever I have emailed with questions, I have always received a prompt helpful response back to allow me to continue with my learning and work.
I strongly believe the qualification has helped me in lots of different aspects as it's very relevant to my daily job life. I feel I know a lot more about mentoring a team, appraisals, self assessments etc and I can also pass this information onto other team members too.
There are lots of company events I am able to take part in - this includes attending a recruitment session to help recruit for the hotel; holding events at the Spa to gain interest and to build awareness. The apprenticeship ahs also helped me with this as I have an increased knowledge.
Yes
I believe it is a great company to work for with lots of support from the management team. I have progressed up a few positions since I started with the company so there is definitely lots of progression. The training is ongoing and I am always learning with the job.
I would definitely suggest to explore what Hilton have to offer as I believe they are a great company to work for. We have great perks at working for the company, great progression and other areas which can help build your confidence and awareness for future job life. Definitely recommend
