Specialising in separation science, I carry out LC analysis for drug projects and individual separation science projects. My recent focus has been on developing sustainable separation science methods, by incorporating biosolvents and removing harmful additives into newly developed methods.
I have learned lots of new skills, including prioritising important tasks, balancing work and life and communicating with people of a range of skill levels.
I enjoy my programme to a great extent, due to the variety of work and being surrounded by a good team.
Very well structured, with set days to study and flexibility around this.
Lots of support, especially when work load gets intense, I receive help with prioritising tasks and I'm allowed extra time to support my uni work.
Likewise, loads of support, as I am always able to take my study day and sometimes extra time to support the heavy workload from uni.
The focus on business with certain modules has helped me gain an understanding of the work environment, and has enabled me to develop new skills that I can apply to my role.
There are lots of opportunities for this, whether it's conferences or apprentice events.

It is an amazing company which I'm proud to work for.
