I am currently leaning the basics that make up aerospace, this includes learning part of the Aircraft Maintenance Cat A License. As well as lesson based learning there is a lot of practical workshop learning and work on fast jets.
I have learned many professional and personal skills that benefit myself and my confidence and interaction / communication skills with others, including in a professional scenario such as a presentation.
Its very enjoyable, especially if you have an interest in aviation or engineering. The balance of knowledge learned to practical application in the workshop and on the planes in the hangar is brilliant as it all interlinks.
BAE is extremely supportive and all types of support are available to every single employee.
As our degree is one day a week and it is online, it can be tedious to try and speak to someone for help, however the tutors are generally quite good and are very skilled in their areas of teaching.
It does provide relevant and useful knowledge however currently this isn't relevant in my role at the training academy.
There is opportunity to do this within the company, there is also a planned week away in the lake district to take part in outdoor activities.

The opportunity is incredible and limitless, the more you put in the more you get out. The company also pays extremely well for an apprenticeship.
Be eager to learn and push yourself to do things you wouldn't normally do.
