Main role is assisting in the audit- mainly allocated tasks to complete in a variety of audit areas and ensuring to take leadership and responsibility over preparing the relevant working paper and obtaining sufficient audit evidence.
Have been able to enhance many skills such as communication, adaptability, professional scepticism and teamwork by working alongside other team members
I would say that I have enjoyed the programme so far as there has been a sufficient balance between working on audit engagements and having time to prepare for upcoming exams etc. However, during busier periods, the hours can get pretty long.
I would say the programme is organised and structured well as there has been a sufficient balance between working on audit engagements and time to study and prepare for upcoming exams. Dates around this have been shared months prior, allowing sufficient time prior
In terms of the learning development process, there is regular training to enhance and develop current skills. In terms of work allocation, there are always team members to reach out to for assistance etc
The current training provider has been great as we have access to recorded lectures, lots of question practice, mock tests etc, preparing us well for our exams/ overall qualification
The qualification as a whole enables us to become familiar with key accounting processes, allowing us to practice what we have learnt to our everyday role.
There are some extra curricular activities taking place now such as department meetings and social gatherings etc. and hopefully more in the future.
Yes
It is a great place especially with the apprenticeship to have a balance between gaining experience working on audit engagements to having time away from work to focus on studying/ gaining a professional qualification too.
To have good knowledge of the overall firm/ the capability you are applying to as well as the firms key values etc
