Attending meetings to discuss current issues with suppliers and team members. Keeping track of purchases and quotations, entering and overseeing trackers to ensure everything is up to date.
Yes, the whole role was completely new to myself when i joined. everything i can do now, including simple tasks such as using excel has been taught through BAE.
I really enjoy the programme. The support BAE gives ensures that if i ever had any issue, it can easily be solved. They are so accommodating which makes everything much more enjoyable especially due to the role being so new.
Very well structured. Everything that happens across the 2 years we have been informed about at the start of the apprenticeship porgramme, for example when college days are, when placement changes are etc. this all helps and has prepared me well in advance for certain aspects.
A lot of support. There are multiple different people I have regular contact with in case I have any issues. I also have reviews which multiple different people attending that all make sure I'm up to date with everything and doing as I should.
We have monthly college days which we learn all about the certain topic. The assignment brief is then layed out and explained, any questions after the college day when completing the assignment, the teachers are always available to message to receive any extra support.
I feel as if it really does help. The teachers make all the learning so it links to the role we are in, this makes it easier as we can see how beneficial what we are learning about is.
There are networking events which are put on and can be attended. STEM ambassador is another extra circular group you can sign up to as well as many others.
Yes
Due to the sheer amount of support which other apprentices at other companies dont get, therefore the training and overall outcome of the apprenticeship is much better and enjoyable.
Although a tough application process, its definitely worth putting the time and effort into it as the opportunity and experiences once you pass these, are worth it. Be yourself when applying and the team will see who you are and where you'll best fit/progress.
