In my current placement I am setting up one of the buildings to make into a workable area for employees to book desks to work onsite instead of working from home every day.
My IT skills have developed largely especially with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. My communication skills have also improved a lot as I am required to talk to multiple people of different levels throughout each day.
The workload is manageable and the team is great, we build our relationships outside of work as well as within the workplace which makes it much easier to work as a team. This apprenticeship is better than what I expected it to be.
We are given our college days at the beginning of the programme which is useful because it means we do not have to rearrange meetings in our diaries because the day is already blocked out. The amount of support is great and we are given enough time to complete assignments.
I receive plenty of support from my work team as well as the early careers team who deal with the college side of my programme. My skills coach is fantastic and has set up bi-weekly calls to ensure we have enough contact with each other to feel comfortable.
My skills coach gives me lots of support with my assignments and will never make me feel silly if i do not understand something. She is just a call or an email away and will always make time for me and my colleagues.
My qualification is very relevant to my role as it covers topics such as document retention and stakeholder management which are both things I need to know about for my day-to-day tasks.
I am unaware of sports teams within the company but there are plenty of social opportunities
Yes
Very supportive company and a great opportunity for people to complete qualifications whilst working a job at the same time. Great networking opportunities and their diversity is brilliant.
Be yourself, be confident and put yourself forward for all opportunities that come your way
