  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying the programme as it is opening my mind to the way we do thing and why we do it, giving me a bigger picture to think outside the box. Also the help with the math's as I left school back in 1992 its helping me learn new things

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Structure of the course I find is great, the way it is broken down into sections with complete by dates is a help. The support and help I receive from [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is awesome, just knowing she is a phone call/email away is very supportive. Plus the regular updates to keep us up to speed

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the apprenticeship is helping me put into practice what I am learning and putting into practice also questioning myself on why? and how to work smarter. also I feel I can talk to the team about performances and ways of working smarter and the effects of actions they have just done. It will extend my management skill set.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a very successfull social group which has started in the last six months. This involves all the team being invited to various meals and live music events which are sometimes subsidised by the business. This is a growing platform which helps with interaction outside of work. Happy days.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Whitbread to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a very caring company with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. A very family orientated feeling working with one of the brands. The company promotes great team work and friendship with lots of training and information so you never feel alone. There is always someone to speak to.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread?
  • Be honest with what you want from your career and yourself. Explain your strengths but don't be afraid to bring up your weaknesses. This is something that can be worked on together and eliminates that fear of failure. Whitbread is a massive company with many arms so if Premier Inn for example is not the fit you wanted, you could explore restaurants for instance.
