As a senior care assistant, it is my responsibility to safely order, store and administer medication. I delegate jobs to care staff in the morning and offer support where needed. I ensure all residents care plans are up to date with the correct information.
I feel I have developed a good understanding of the day to day running of a care home. I have learnt moving and handling and the safe administration of medication. I have also learned how to provide the best person centred care and have a great passion for my job
I have really enjoyed this NVQ and it feel it has helped me to learn more about my job role and how to better myself within it.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is great at sending me work on time and sufficiently. I feel there is a lot of structure to this and if I feel something is unclear to me I can always ask [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] for extra support.
I receive support from my employer by being able to use the computer to complete my work and being able to take time out if needed to speak to [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] regarding my NVQ
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is great and does give me a lot of support where needed. She explains everything fully and is always available to chat to if there is something I am struggling with.
I feel as though the explanation of things I may not quite understand really helps me. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] will explain it in a way that I can understand better.
No extra activities for staff :(
Yes
Good place to work
I would advise others to be strong team players and ask if there is any support I can offer to them
