My as an aircraft apprentice involves working and gaining expereicen on the variety of aircraft BA has to offer. This involves being stationed in different maintenance facilities and carrying out maintenance to ensure the aircraft remian airworthy. As an apprentice it also involves taking A license module exams and recording work in th CAP 741 EASA book.
Throughout my time, I learned a lot of new skills, such as being able to efficiently locate technical documentation for tasks. I also managed to develop my hand skills through the experience I gained and can now confidently use all tooling. My communication and interpersonal skills have also improved as they were very poor before joining.
I've gained a lot of valuable experience for my career and have enjoyed the program a lot as it has exceeded my expectations and would recommend it to anyone thinking of an apprenticeship n the industry.
The programme was structured very well. I received support whenever it was required and had mentors who were very supportive. From joining to the end there was a clear pathway created so I knew what was expected of me through out and was able to set goals for my self.
I received support from my employer at all times. All my managers and supervisors were very helpful and guided me through any problems I came across.
My training provider provided a lot of support when it came to completing my qualifications. I was motivated throughout and didn't have any difficulties with them.
The knowledge I gained through my qualifications has been very beneficial in my day-to-day activities and has enabled me to become a more conscientious apprentice.
A lot of sports activities are organised among colleagues in the different areas of the business.
Yes
I would recommend British Airways as it's an excellent company to work for and provides many great opportunities for development which I think is brilliant.
