My role as a team leader is to lead a small team on a daily basis to achieve business goals which leads to increasing sales. I ensure that everyone follows business processes to ensure colleagues and customers are safe when shopping with us to create the best shopping experience.
I have developed skills including communication, teamwork and leadership. I have also developed behavioural skills which I have been able to demonstrate to my team.
I really enjoy the programme of the apprenticeship as it has put me out of my comfort zone to achieve new skills and help me work towards my goals that I wish to achieve within my workplace.
The programme is very well organised and structured. I feel comfortable with what I have to do and who to contact if I have any issues. My coach is very supportive and the workload is manageable alongside my job role.
I receive a lot of support and I am very happy with how much contact I receive on a weekly basis depending on what needs I have.
I receive a lot of support when it comes to training and I benefit from the training from my provider as all of it is relevant to me in progressing further within the business
The qualification really helps me perform better in my role as most of the tasks given to me and the teams calls I attend really help my develop many skills which I am then able to show my team and become a better leader in my job role.
There are extra-curricular activities such as fund raising events that I am keen to get involved with which helps improve teamwork in my store. I also am keen to get involved with local causes to network potential ideas on how we can all get involved to help the community.
