My role at BAE Systems, involves developing, testing and implementing software to be used on or with aircraft in order to have them out in the air.
i have picked up many new skills, including collaborating in a team, interpersonal skills and speaking confidently. also I have managed to pick up testing methods and coding practices used throughout the business.
it is very fun working within the team, learning about new aircrafts while also working on the software necessary for them to run.
the structure of the programme is very good. However, I believe it could be improved to aid students more in terms of getting it right with universities in order to have the correct structure in place so that there are no last minute surprises.
i have been receiving a lot of support by the employer in terms of my work and University, allowing me to balance both as best I can.
A lot
Within university the knowledge gained through practical and lecture orientated methods allows me to understand the importance of specific parts of my job role and expands my knowledge then allowing me to complete work that i am set much easily as it means that i have the skill set necessary to do the work.
there are various different wellbeing meetings and event i have got involved with, but physically a sport team or anything, No, however there are a lot of teams setup which i know about
Yes
BAE Systems, has allowed me to expand my knowledge on something that I enjoy doing. The widespread business allows me to interact with many other people in order to further expand this knowledge. The business has been able to aid me throughput the course and have helped when i needed it the most.
I would definitely say to not waste this opportunity, the business and this course is a gateway to a lot of opportunities. embrace it and work hard.
