I deal with guests enquiries, make bookings, I answer the phone, check guests in and look after them whilst staying with us in terms of making sure they have everything they need and anything I can to make their stay more comfortable. I also carry out health and safety tasks to make sure the hotel is complying with current regulations.
I am now more confident on the computer and using technology, my customer service has improved as I'm putting the things I've learnt into practise and because I have never worked in a hotel before it has given more experience, the apprenticeship has given me more knowledge and especially because I would like to progress.
I am really enjoying the Hospital Supervisor apprenticeship and getting to know my mentor as she has been very helpful especially with me being in gateway now and coming up to my exams. Because it is giving me more knowledge so my confidence is growing massively and gives me motivation.
Very well organised, I like that it can be remotely done or face to face and MyLife is very informative and not just for the course you're enrolled on.
I do receive a lot of support as my manager has completed this course too.
I feel very supported as she is willing to answer any questions and help me prepare and will communicate well with me.
As I am doing the level where you are meant to be in DHM role already I am learning a lot more than I would've on level 2 and this is great because I have been in the company for nearly 2 and a half years so I've learnt alot on the job but learning more behind the scenes through the apprenticeship.
