I currently on the bench studying RPA. My previous role was as a Core Infrastructure Analyst. I was carrying out Data Analysis, and developing real time solutions. Now I'm upscaling myself to be more technical and enter the Robotic world.
I have currently developed many skills that I've already had since college, such as SQL, programming languages, Cloud knowledge. I even got a Cloud certification. I've also developed new skills such as RPA knowledge, Data Analysis, knowledge of software such as PowerBI and more.
The program is currently allowing me to learn so much from different technology world and even better, is allowing me to meet people that work in different technology industries.
University wise, the lecturer are excellent, we carry out our activities in a smooth way and being present and pay attention to lessons really helps. The only bad note, in my opinion, is the fact that is 4 years long, against the 2 year of the same program in England.
We have all the support that we need and want. We can contact out people lead if in need, Ketki or Karen if we have any questions, the HR that can help us with more delicate matters. Overall we are extremely supported.
When in need we can arrange session with our lecturer, following support sessions, email them, and more.
I've learnt a lot in my first 2 semester at University. I've used program that are quite relevant in the IT world, and now I've got knowledge of them.
Just in the last month I've been involved in the opening of the new office in Glasgow, taught RPA to new people, entered the event team, participated to an event where you meet random colleagues and have a chat, and the green Code Hackaton.
Yes
When I was joining I was quite afraid of being inside an huge corporate (like you see in movies) but once inside I notice that this company is truly made of people that treat each other like people and not just subordinates.
Relax, remember that are people making this company, and is with people that are you going to interact, people that you will work and bond with.
